London: David Beckham has revealed that when he was invited to Prince William and Duchess Kate’s wedding last year, he and wife Victoria, got the perfect seats – near the loo.

Victoria Beckham was heavily pregnant at the time with their daughter Harper Seven, and she was panicking about whether she’d be able to get to the restroom while the wedding was taking place.

“My wife was eight months pregnant and she was worried where we were going to be sitting,” the Mirror quoted him as saying during a webchat.

“She needed to be as close to the restroom as possible in case she needed to go.

“But when we got there, we had perfect seats, she was able to see William and Kate while being five paces away from the restroom,” he said.

The footballer talked about how happy he was to be invited to the wedding.

“We had to pinch ourselves when we got the invite [to the Royal Wedding]… The Royal Wedding was a huge thing for our country to have a celebration like that, it gave our country a huge lift at the time,’ he said.

Beckham, who has also become good friends with Princes William and Harry, said that he was brought up to love the royal family.

“I’ve become friends with Prince William and Harry as well. We was brought up to love the Royal Family and when Princess Di was around, the love for her was incredible,” he said.

“And then you watch the lives of William and Harry and it’s kind of like the Truman Show seeing them grow into young men. It makes you proud to be English, watching them grow into the people they are,” he added. (ANI)
