Skill development programme on Bakery

Shillong : Participants display bakery products during a skill development programme on Bakery that was organised by the Directorate of Commerce & Industries through the District Commerce & Industries Centre, East Khasi Hills in collaboration with M/s. J.M. Bakers Academy, Coimbatore in the city on Wednesday. Director Commerce & Industries W. Langstang said that bakery as a profession can go a long way in providing employment opportunities to the youths of the State. The programme is among the initiatives taken by Chief Minister, Dr. Mukul Sangma, to upgrade the skills in bakery so as to bring new ideas, knowledge to promote the trade in a big way in Meghalaya. Similar programmes will be undertaken in Garo Hills as well in the near future. (ST)
