SHILLONG: Youth Club made easy work of Nongrim Hills, while River Hauz were involved in a closer contest in their respective matches of the SCA Second Division Cricket League at Polo on Wednesday.

Electing to bat first, Nongrim Hills were all out for 98 runs in 19.3 overs, with Andrew Kharbuli scoring 23 and Rohit Paul taking 3-14 in four overs.

In reply, Youth Club coasted through to the finish line, winning by 10 wickets and with six full overs to spare. Shubham Sharma fell one run short of a half-century for the winners.

In the earlier fixture, River Hauz beat Nongmynsong by 13 runs.

Nongmynsong won the toss and chose to field first, restricting their opponents to 105/8 in 20 overs. Erick scored 24, while Dhruba took 2-13 in four overs.

In reply, Nongmynsong were skittled for 92 in 18.3 overs. Sandeep top-scored with 41, while Ankush claimed impressive figures of 4-10 in four overs.
