New Delhi: President Pranab Mukherjee on Saturday gifted mobile phones to freedom fighters as he hosted an ‘At Home’ reception for them on the occasion of the 72nd anniversary of the Quit India movement here.

During the event held at the Rashtrapati Bhavan, the President said he gifted the gadget because it has become a symbol of the country’s “rapid progress on the digital pathway.” (PTI)
