NONGPOH: The FKJGP, North Khasi Hills District unit (Ri Bhoi) on Saturday demanded the immediate implementation of the Umsning Bypass project.
Expressing concern over the delay in the construction of the Umsning Bupass, the FKJGP demanded the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) to start the work at the earliest. “Even though the District Administration has already handed over the land to the NHAI for the construction of the Umsning Bypass and all formalities have been taken care of, the construction work is being delayed for unknown reasons,” FKJGP leader EG Kharbani said.  The federation also urged the district administration to intervene into the matter.
