MLA entry boosts NPP in Mizoram

SHILLONG: Chief Minister Conrad Sangma said on Sunday a sitting MLA joined NPP in Mizoram on Saturday night.
Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of a programme, the NPP national president said, “One sitting MLA has already joined and it has happened last night, I could not get the full details but I know one sitting MLA has already joined last night.”
He expressed confidence that the electorate in Mizoram will accept the party and that NPP will play a major role in the state’s election scheduled for November 28.
Sangma informed that other politicians have showed interest in contesting the polls on NPP ticket.
