Alleged negligence
Anita Singh Rumnong lodged a complaint stating that on April 27, 2019 around 4:32 pm, she underwent surgery and gave birth to a baby boy at Ganesh Das Hospital. The complainant alleged that after birth, the baby was not given proper care treatment, which resulted in the death of the infant

Assault
Donush Siangshai lodged a complaint stating that on May 13 around 1:35 pm, five of his labourers who were working in a construction site at Langkyrding, Shillong, were assaulted by unidentified miscreants at Pynthorbah, Block-1.
On May 14 around 4 pm, Shimborning Lyngkhoi (26) assaulted Labornes Lyngkhoi and threatened his family members with dire consequences at Mawlangsu village in West Khasi Hills.
On May 14, motorcycle-borne unidentified miscreants assaulted 23-year-old Sujoy Das at Upper Damalgre village in West Garo Hills. The victim sustained injuries and was taken to CH Tura for treatment.
A woman lodged a complaint stating that on May 14, her ex-husband, Orlin Lyngdoh damaged eight windowpanes of her Government allotted Quarter in Nongstoin, West Khasi Hills and on May 15, the accused (in inebriated condition) indecently harassed her along with her children and threatened her with dire consequences.

Complaint on tenancy
Anita Thakur lodged a complaint stating that on May 14, she went to Oakland on behalf of her father-in-law to ask her tenant identified as Chunilal Singh to vacate the residence. The tenant and his family did not take kindly to this which in turn led to a quarrel. Later on May 15, Sibendra Roy of Oakland, lodged a complaint stating that on May 15, Anita Thakur forcibly locked the tenant’s room.

Cyber crime
A girl from Dkhiah East village in East Jaintia Hills lodged a complaint stating that on May 12, she found that unknown persons had created one Facebook account with the user name ‘Brazil Agitok’ using her personal information and uploaded obscene photographs of the complainant.

Fraud
Sankupar Diengdoh lodged a complaint stating that two persons identified as Vikas Patel and Zapadiya Ajay Bhai cheated him of Rs 32,000 which was paid to them through Paytm for delivery of one Maruti Alto k-10 car (GJ-01-KE-4406). The vehicle was never delivered to Diengdoh.
Briwon Pohshna lodged a complaint stating that on June 4, 2017, a deed of work agreement for contract of Optical Cable Works of BSNL/NFS Prajeet was duly executed at Shillong between the complainant and Hussain Topadar, an authorised signatory on behalf of MBON, MOBICOM and Tele System Pvt. Ltd., with its Head Office at Balaji Chamber, Flat No. 9, 1st Floor, S No. 77, Plot 36/37 Wanawadi, Jhambulkar Chowk, Pune. The agreement was notarised by the Public Notary in the presence of witnesses. The complainant had deposited Rs. 3,50,000 in favour of Topadar as security money for the work and submitted the invoice. However, the complainant never received any payment from the accused till date.
On May 10, Tariang K Marak of Dorengkigre village in East Garo Hills lodged a complaint stating that in January, one person identified as Sengseng assured to get him a job in the Traffic Department after which the complainant handed him Rs 10,000. Further the complainant gave Sengseng and one other man identified as Arun N Marak Rs 30,000 and was informed that he will be called by Superintendent of Police on May 10. In March, the complainant and his father met Sengseng and one person working at the SP’s Office, who informed him about a vacant post of Muster Roll in MeECL and that Rs. 1,50,000 is required to get the appointment. On May 10, the complainant made a phone call to Sengseng but he did not respond to his call.

Suo-motu case
Police lodged a suo-motu complaint against Wimson S Sangma, former headmaster of Dobu Chitimbing UP School, A Ch Sangma Karen, LDA, DI Office, Williamnagar (East Garo Hills) and Jarim T Sangma which stated that on February 17, Wimson S Sangma issued a fake school transfer certificate to one sixteen-year-old boy involved in a POSCO Case.

Theft
Hajiz Khan lodged a complaint stating that on May 16 around 2 am, two persons identified as Montosh Kr. Poddar and Suresh Roy broke into his grocery shop at 9th Mile in Khanapara, Ri Bhoi, and stole one LPG stove, one LPG regulator, one digital stereo amplifier along with a car music system and speakers.
Babla Das (23) lodged a complaint stating that on May 11 between 1 am to 3 am, miscreants stole his motorcycle (ML-05S-3929) which was parked near his residence at Bholaganj Bazar in East Khasi Hills.

Threat
Sumit Bajoria and Rohit Bajoria of Bhajanlal Srinivas, Police Bazar, Shillong lodged a complaint stating that on May 7, while the Bailiff of the District and Session Court along with his associates were carrying out execution of Judgment and Decrees, two persons identified as Narendra Sharma and Surendra Sharma visited the premises, abused them, threatened to shoot them and also threatened one of the court staff in the presence of Police personnel.
