Threat
One Rajon Deb has lodged a complaint that his wife Sima S Dhar and her family members have blamed him for miscarriage, demanded money for the same and also threatened to involve him in dowry demand and domestic violence case with dire consequences.

Duped
Chrispin Sangriang lodged a complaint that two persons, Terence Wanjap Warjri and Lamborsing Nongrum, offered him a sub-contract for laying of optical fiber cable (OFC) of Bharti Airtel. In this connection, the complainant paid Rs 5 lakh to Lamborsing Nongrum, as security deposit to the company. Later, he was asked to contribute money for the purpose of purchasing OFC from the company for which he paid the accused persons Rs 17,20,000 in four installments. When the complainant completed the work for a stretch of 7870 metres, he was asked to stop the work. The complainant had requested for repayment of the amount invested in the work. However, till date, the accused persons have not repaid his money.

Thefts
On May 18 around 2 am, miscreant(s) stole one Bolero pick-up (AS 01DC 2891) belonging to Francis Lyngdoh, which was parked at Umling, Ri-Bhoi.
On May 16, miscreants stole one motorcycle (ML 05E 5214) belonging to Saroj Kumar Pandey from his residence at 6th Furlong, Polo, Shillong.

Apprehended
Sambormi Lyngdoh, President, East Jaintia National Council (EJNC), CEC lodged a complaint that on May 16 at 5.30 pm, EJNC members apprehended one Rimi Shadap (23) along with seven bottles of suspected drugs from Lad Sutnga, East Jaintia Hills.

Accident
On May 16 at 8.30 pm, one truck (AS 01EC 0542) driven by Gobind Shadap dashed against another (ML 04C 7767) driven by Kordor Manar at Tuber Sohshrieh (EJH). As a result, the driver and handyman of the latter sustained injuries.

Loot
Teniya K Marak lodged a complaint that on May 12 at about 8 pm, she was proceeding from Goalpara towards Nangalbibra and on reaching Tambura Wakok area, NH-62, six-seven armed masked miscreants in black and camouflaged dresses, looted two i-phones and Rs 2,30,000.
