Man goes missing in SWKH

MAWKYRWAT: A person identified as Tireless Ramsiej (40) of Nongnah (Nongktieh) village, South West Khasi Hills District went missing since September 14.
Ramsiej, son of Phomming Paliar, had gone for fishing in Wahlet River early in the morning and never returned home.
Wahlet river flows to Umngi via Umpung to Bangladesh.
The Ranikor Police and the Fire & Emergency Service along with the villagers conducted a search the next day but in vain.
The BSF had conducted a flag meeting with the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) and reported that no body was found in Bangladesh side of Umngi river. However, the search operation continues.
