JOWAI: A complaint was lodged at Lumshnong Police Station against the Managing Director of Goldstone Cement Ltd. Vishal Jain for non-payment of transportation charges of cement, clinker, fly-ashes and other cement-related products.
The complainant, SK Rai, who is the Power of Attorney holder of Megha Goods Cargos -2019-20, informed that the said firm is dealing in the business of transportation of goods (cements, linkers, fly-ash etc) to different locations of various states since a long time.
However, since April last, the company has failed to adhere and to abide by its commitment of timely disbursal of transportation charges and dues.
“The cement company has to pay Rs 23, 92, 006 as transportation charges and fees. Even after repeated reminders and request, the company has deliberately refused to make payment of the pending dues,” Rai stated in his complaint.
He added that due to the non-payment of the pending dues, the firm is facing financial hurdles in running and maintaining the transportation business which has directly affected the livelihood of all the employees of the transportation firm, particularly the drivers.
The complainant has requested the Lumshnong Police to arrest the Managing of the Company and book him under appropriated section of law.
