Village gets essentials from RKM

SHILLONG: The children and inhabitants of Laitduh village have expressed gratitude to Sohra Ramakrishna mission for the timely help rendered to them during the present crisis suffered as a result of the prolonged lockdown.
Few Swamis accompanied by some helpers provided succour to the children of the village with rice and dal on May 30 last. There are 60 odd households in the village with an average of four children in each household. Each child received 25 kg of rice and 3 kg of dal. This is according to Forward Syiemlieh, an official of the village.
Laitduh village is 8 kms west of Sohra market and it is about 300 metres from the famous Dainthlen waterfall.
