After the alleged assault on Armingson G. Momin, Headmaster cum Secretary, and two students of Rongmagre St. Mary’s SSA LP School under Chokpot C&RD Block by Meghalaya Police on April 15 in the name of operation against militants, the Sarva Shiksha School Teachers’ Association Southern Zone has sought action against the police personnel involved in the crime.
In a statement issued here on Thursday, the Association condemned the physical assault on the teacher and the two students.
Earlier on April 28, an executive meeting was held at Rangdokram SSA UP School where four Blocks of South Garo Hills District jointly condemned the physical assault on the headmaster and the students. They also demanded that the culprit should be brought to book as per law.
