SHILLONG: The Shillong Khasi Jaintia Church Leaders Forum (SKJCLF) wanted the government not to show any discrimination in the context of implementation of CAA.
The Forum held a special prayer meeting on Wednesday in the hall of Presbyterian Church of India (PCI) here, in order to collectively submit to God’s guidance the grave issues which the country is facing.
The issues discussed were the present situation and discontentment among the people over the CAA passed by Parliament. The SKJCLF called upon leaders, both at the Centre and the state, to act without discrimination to any individual, group or community on the basis of religion, caste or creed. The forum also submitted to God’s guidance the demand made by several NGOs on the implementation of ILP in the state, that whatever the outcome might be, the welfare of the people should be protected. It also prayed for the victims of coronavirus in China and other places.
