Prize distribution
The Prize Distribution Ceremony of Ramakrishna Mission’s Annual Cultural Competition 2012, will be held on Saturday at 3:00 P.M. at Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Cultural Centre, Quinton Road. Bindo M. Lanong, Deputy Chief Minister, Government of Meghalaya has kindly consented to be the Chief Guest. Manas Chaudhuri, M.L.A. Government of Meghalaya and Revered Swami Pitambaranandaji Maharaj, Senior Monk, Belur Math will be the Honorable Guests.
International Youth Day
Meghalaya AIDS Control Society will be observing the International Youth Day 2012 by collaborating with the different Red Ribbon Clubs from different colleges of the state. This year, a unique campaign will see students from different colleges coming together and assembling at MUDA complex, from 2 p.m. onwards on August 11.

The District school education Officer, Ri Bhoi will organize a one day science seminar on August 17 from 10 AM at Science Hall, Nongpoh
Patriots Day
The Shillong Manipuri Students Union (SMSU) is observing 121 patriots day at Manipur Rajbari, on August 10, 2012 from 11 am to 6 pm. All Manipuri residents are requested to attend the function.
Youth day
The Meghalaya AIDS control society in collaboration with the different Red Ribbon clubs of Shillong will organise the international Youth Day 2012 on Saturday at MUDA Complex from 1.30 PM onwards.
