HC grants pre-arrest bail By Our Reporter

SHILLONG: The High Court of Meghalaya on Tuesday allowed one Jakir M Sangma, who is accused of abusing and assaulting an attendant at Resubelpara CHC, to go on pre-arrest bail for a sum of Rs.30,000 with one surety besides other conditions.
Sources said that the incident happened on October 23 when a pregnant women was admitted at Resubelpara CHC but it was alleged that the woman was not looked after well by the attendant of the CHC which led to an argument between Jakir Sangma and the hospital staff after which an FIR was filed against Jakir Sangma in which he was accused of abusing and assaulting the CHC staff.
