Rijiju visit
Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Kiren Rijiju will visit Shillong on Thursday to attend a programme at St Anthony’s College Hall in the city at 9.30 AM. The college will host the 10th Biennial National Conference of the PANE from November 10-12. Rijiju will be accompanied by Union Minister of State Piyush Goyal.
Admit card
The principal of Police Training School in the city has informed that admit cards for candidates applying for various posts in AB/UB group should be collected on or before Saturday as the physical efficiency test will be on November 14 at Eastern Range, 1st MLP Battalion in Mawiong, and on November 16 at Western Range, 2nd MLP Battalion in Goeragre.
Appointment
The government has designated M.H.K Marak, commissioner and secretary, as the appellate authority and Mary Sonty N. Marak, joint secretary as public information officer for RTI applications pertaining to the Food Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department.
Weighment slip
The weighbridge at Dawki, Tamabil (exiting to Bangladesh), West Jaintia Hills District has been notified to issue weighment certificates to all goods laden vehicles that should pass through the weighbridge with immediate effect and until further orders. This was informed by the Under Secretary to the Government of Meghalaya, Transport Department.
Licence renewal
The Deputy Commissioner (Supply), West Jaintia Hills District has directed all Fair Price Shop and S.K Oil dealers of both rural and urban areas of West Jaintia Hills to submit application for renewal of their license for the year 2017 along with the Court Stamp fee of Rs.25/- (Rupees twenty five) only, two passport size Photo and Xerox copy of Bank account No (Passbook) and recommendation of the Headmen or Secretary of the concerned locality on or before December 15. The F.P. shop dealers and SK Oil retailers will have to submit the list of the members of the Vigilance Committee for the year 2017 along with the application.
