One drowns
SHILLONG: One person drowned in a river in South Garo Hills. Police were informed that one Sadin Ch Marak drowned in the Dareng River at Misra Wari near Mitapgre village. The search for the body is still on.

Hindi workshop
SHILLONG: A one-day Hindi workshop was organised for the employees of NEEPCO with the assistance of Narendra Singh Rathore, Hindi Officer, Director General, Assam Rifles, at the corporate office here on Monday. NEIGRIHMS celebrates 8th annual day
SHILLONG: NEIGRIHMS celebrated its 8th annual day on Monday. The function, which started at 2pm, started with an invocation song by MBBS students followed by a welcome address by the Organising Chairman. Among the audience were faculty members, paramedics and students of NEIGRIHMS. The Director of NEIGRIHMS also spoke on the vision for NEIGRIHMS for the coming years. Certificates were handed over to MBBS degree holders followed by a cultural programme.
