TURA: The NPP in Garo Hills has hit out at former MLA and independent candidate for South Tura by-poll, John Leslee K Sangma for denying the alleged hate speech against its members and screening of a video in one of his meetings to target Late P A Sangma.

“My complaint was based on repeated reports by our party workers and well wishers. The evidence remains with the people who had actually listened to his speech and witnessed the screening of the video. No matter how strongly he denies it, the truth remains as the footage showing the screening of the video has already gone viral in the electronic media,” NPP General Secretary, Mathias N Marak said.

On the former MLA’s statement that he would take up the matter in the appropriate platform after the election, Marak said that he was glad to welcome his decision.
