Illegal cash withdrawals
Kyntiewbha Kharbani lodged a complaint that on October 22, miscreants withdrew Rs. 32,000 from her account at Bank of Baroda.
Rajita Devi lodged a complaint that on October 21, miscreants fraudulently debited Rs. 36,500 from her account at Bank of Baroda, Mawdiangdiang Branch.

Theft
Agnes Kharshiing lodged a complaint that on October 22 at 2 pm, Krishna Thapa apprehended two persons, Vivek Kumar (18) and Pintu Hajong (20), while they were stealing aluminum pipes near her residence at Bomfyle Road, Laitumkhrah, Shillong. Three sacks filled with aluminum were recovered from their possession.
Sunati Paul lodged a complaint that on October 18, miscreants broke into her house at Khliehriat East (EJH), stole cash Rs. 20,000 and gold ornaments.
On October 19 around 11 pm, miscreants stole one motorcycle (ML-054Q-7823) belonging to Vishnu Kathri from the premises of his rented house at Saw Kilo, East Jaintia Hills.

Intruders arrested
Dr. Gita Shylla lodged a complaint that on October 22 at 4 pm, two persons namely Alson Nongrum (22) and Rafel Lynrah (19) were apprehended while they trying to break into her house.
Goons apprehended
On the night of October 21, members of Village Defence Party, Riangdo in West Khasi Hills apprehended a man identified as Shemphanglin Wanniang while he along with his partners were attempting to break open a shop.
Man duped
Tyngshainlang Gidon lodged a complaint that on October 20 afternoon, miscreants in the name of GOOGLE*OCTRO Inc, transferred Rs. 7,865 from his SBI savings account without his knowledge.
Miscreants abduct, assault, threaten man
Ardi Paul Rymbai lodged a complaint that on October 16 around 12.20 pm, a group of persons (nine) led by Samwel Siangshai, abducted him and took him to the residence of Shrieki Phawa at Pamrapaithlu village, East Jaintia Hills and assaulted him. They also demanded Rs. 5 lakh and threatened him with dire consequences.

Rioters in WJH attack police
P. Syiem, Additional SP of West Jaintia Hills, lodged a complaint that on October 15 around 9.30 pm, while he along with staff were on duty in presence of Y.R Mawlong, MCS, EAC, Jowai, at Maa Jayanti Mandir, Nartiang, were attacked with stones, lethal weapons by rioters. As a result, some police personnel sustained injuries and were shifted to different hospitals for treatment. During the incident, one person identified as Replease Phalangki hit the complainant with a wooden object causing grievous injury to him.

Accident
On October 21 around 10 pm, one Maruti car (ML-05K-3948) driven by Lamshua Tariang fell off the road at Madan Bynther, West Khasi Hills. As a result, driver of the car sustained injuries.
Raju Giri (38), Ram Chandra Joshi (35) were travelling in a Bolero when a truck hit their vehicle in Umsning By-pass. Both occupants sustained injuries and shifted to Umsning CHC by 108 Umsning Base Ambulance.
