SHILLONG: Since the establishment of the North-Eastern Hill University as a Central University in 1973, for several decades the results of examinations of academic departments of NEHU were declared in August/September, every year.
NEHU, however, has informed that for the first time in many years over 90 per cent of the results of NEHU academic department examinations have been declared before July 9. The remaining results will be out any day.
According to NEHU, this has been possible due to the cooperation of each and every stake holder as well as policy intervention at the academic and administrative level.
As a result of reorganisation of the academic calendar and re-scheduling of the vacation period, results started pouring in from end of June this year.
Strict adherence and monitoring of timelines/deadlines played a vital role in the timely declaration of the results, said a statement issued by NEHU.
For students eagerly awaiting their results, the timely declaration of the same is a big relief. The university said it is committed to ensure that this trend continues, in the best interests of students.
The results can be accessed through the University’s official website www.nehu.ac.in.
