Award for book featuring Khasi Food System

SHILLONG, Sep 28: A publication of the UN-FAO ‘Indigenous Peoples’ Food Systems: Insights on sustainability and resilience from the front line of climate change’, which featured the Khasi Food System (study area Nongtraw, East Khasi Hills) in one of the chapters, has been awarded the ‘Best 2021 Sustainability Publication Award’  from Hallbars and the Alfred Nobel Museum.
Informing this, the North East Slow Food and Agrobiodiversity Society (NESFAS) extended gratitude to its visionary leaders and team members as well as partner communities.
The award ceremony is scheduled for September 30 on Zoom at 4 pm, the NESFAS said in a statement.
