18 fresh cases, no death in state

SHILLONG, Dec 4: Meghalaya on Saturday recorded as many as 18 new COVID-19 infections and no deaths, while 68 patients recovered from the viral infection taking the tally of recoveries to 82,853, according to government data.
The active cases tally now stands at 246 in the state.
As per the data, as many as 15 new cases were reported in East Khasi Hills and one case each from East Jaintia Hills, South Garo Hills, and West Jaintia Hills.
As far as vaccination is concerned, the state Health department conducted 77 sessions as on 9 PM of Saturday in which 1,927 were vaccinated, as per official data.
Out of the total vaccinated persons, 1,636 were 18 years and above, 245 under the category of above 45 years, five healthcare workers and 41 frontline workers.
A total of 11,73,080 first doses and 8,23,967 second doses, totaling 19,97,047, have been administered in state till date, the data showed.
