Young Guns, The XI enter Rilbong semis

SHILLONG, Jan 17: The XI and Young Guns advanced to the semi-finals of the 9th Ardhendu Chaudhuri Memorial Invitational Tennis Ball Day & Night Cricket Tournament, after registering wins in their respective matches, here on Monday.
In the third quarter-final of the tournament, Royal CC opted to bat first after winning the toss against The XI and were bowled out for 33 runs in 7.5 overs. The XI then replied by scoring 34 in only 3.3 overs with 2 wickets to spare. Swarajit Das was adjudged Player-of-the-Match for scoring 20 runs and picking up a wicket.
In the last quarter-final, Young Guns won the toss and batted first against Roshni, smashing 75 runs in the allotted 8 overs. Roshni’s chase looked promising but they were later restricted to 58 in 8 overs as fell short by 15 runs. Jameel Shah was the Player-of-the-Match for his 28 runs in 13 balls.
