Distribution
Study materials were distributed among the underprivileged students of Shillong Secondary School at Forest Colony, Shillong, by Meghandini Mahila Samiti on Thursday as part of its annual social assistance programme. The chief guest during the occasion was Micheal Kharsyntiew, a young entrepreneur and social worker. The organisation, in a statement, said it would conduct similar activities at different city schools within the next month for the benefit of needy children.

Seminar
A two-day national seminar on ‘Quality and Relevance of Higher Education in India’ will be organised by IQAC Women’s College Shillong in the college auditorium on Thursday and Friday. Sonal V Mishra (IPS) IG, CRPF, NES, will be the chief guest. The keynote address will be delivered by Prof. Prabha Shanker Shukla, Vice Chancellor of NEHU Shillong.

Office-bearers
The Lawsohtun Farmers Association, in its general meeting on March 19, elected its new office-bearers for the term 2022. The new president is Raymond Mukhim, while general secretary is Arnold Sohtun besides other members. The meeting also elected four executive members.
