‘Janbhagidari’ events at KV EAC
Shillong June 12: Kendriya Vidyalaya EAC Upper Shillong is conducting various school-level drawing, painting, Quiz, story telling and poem recitation competitions in the series of ‘Jangbhagidari events’ from June 1 to June 15 in view of G20 Education Working Group Meetings (EdWG) between June 19 and 22 in Pune, Maharashtra. The theme of Janbhagidari events and EdWG meeting is ‘Ensuring foundational literacy and numeracy especially in the context of blended learning’. In addition, a one-day workshop for teachers and stakeholders was also conducted to ensure Foundational Literacy and Numeracy at ground level. The workshop was attended by teachers of nearby KVs and private schools. The programme and activities were focused on ‘National Initiative for Proficiency in Reading with Understanding and Numeracy’ and Foundational Literacy and Numeracy under New Education Policy (NEP) 2020. As per the NEP 2020, the highest priority of the education system is to achieve universal foundational literacy and numeracy in primary schools by 2025.
‘Link mobile number with Aadhaar’
TURA, June 12: The West Garo Hills Deputy Commissioner has informed all citizens of the district of the need to link their mobile numbers with Aadhar for OTP (One Time Password) authentication to avail of various central benefits. The notification added that if the mobile numbers are not linked with Aadhar, the Aadhar number will not be able to be seeded for various government schemes and flagship programmes like MGNREGA, MHIS, NSAP, NFSA, LPG connection and Post Matric Scholarship.
