SHILLONG, Sep 23: St. Anthony’s Higher Secondary School enthralled audience with their musical play The Greatest Showman staged at the school indoor basketball court from Thursday to Saturday.
Neighboring schools, different institutions and parents of students were the main spectators of the musical concert.
Chief guest and Cabinet Minister Ampareen Lyngdoh encouraged the parents to bring out their children’s talents and also praised the school for helping the students to excel in different fields.
The event was also graced by Director of School Education and Literacy Swapnil Tembe as guest of honour and Fr. Richard Majaw, the vicar general of the Archdiocese of Shillong as an important guest.
Principal of the school, Fr. Anthony Kharkongor welcomed everyone to the show and thanked all the teachers and everyone involved in making the show a grant success.
East Khasi Hills School Education Officer M Lyngwa said ‘students need to develop talents and school days is the best time to find out their talents, therefore co-curricular activities such as musical play will be of great help to the young minds’.
