NES Jorabat celebrates 18th anniversary

Nongpoh, March 18: Nestled in the heart of the North Eastern region, NES Jorabat, a flagship retail outlet under Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) located at Jorabat, dazzled in the spotlight as it commemorated its 18th Anniversary with unparalleled grandeur on Sunday.

The event, graced by the presence of Alexander L. Hek, Meghalaya’s Minister of Animal Husbandry & Veterinary, and adorned by the renowned singer, Zubin Garg, epitomized excellence and innovation in the fuel retailing domain.

The festivities unfolded with the unveiling of NES Jorabat’s revamped persona and expanded amenities, showcasing a dedicated section catering to Small Vehicles such as SUVs, Cars, and Sedans, with future plans for the integration of CNG facilities. This milestone celebration not only marked a significant evolution in infrastructure but also symbolized a steadfast commitment to enhancing customer experience and convenience.

Addressing the gathering, Alexander L Hek reminisced about the inception of NES Jorabat 18 years ago in 2006, lauding its role in fostering employment opportunities for over 150 local attendants, particularly empowering the local Khasi girls. His words echoed a sentiment of pride and appreciation for the socio-economic contributions made by this esteemed establishment.

BJ Phukan, Managing Director of NRL, extolled BPCL’s unwavering dedication in upholding NES Jorabat’s status as the region’s top-selling retail outlet, applauding the meticulous extensions and improvements undertaken to elevate customer satisfaction.

Emphasizing the ethos of innovation, Mr. Debashis Naik, Head Retail East BPCL, underscored the recent enhancements aimed at enhancing commuter convenience, such as the introduction of EV Charging facilities and the launch of the Double Dhamaka Scheme, promising instant rewards and lottery opportunities for patrons.

In a poignant moment, Mr. Jain, a stalwart with four decades of experience in the Petroleum Industry, expressed profound pride in the transformation of NES Jorabat into a beacon of excellence, boasting state-of-the-art facilities including automation, expansive parking, and an array of amenities ranging from a cozy coffee shop to a cutting-edge EV charging station.

The event witnessed a distinguished ensemble of BPCL dignitaries including Mr. Pankaj Das, State Head North East, Mr. Mowsam Khaund, Assam Territory Manager, Mr. Faiyaz Alam, State Engineering Officer, and a host of other luminaries, alongside local dignitaries and esteemed members of the Churiwal Family.
