Activist registers FIR over doctor’s impersonation in SWGH hospital

Ampati, Feb 26: Social activist, Greneth M Sangma has filed an FIR at the Ampati police station in the district of South West Garo Hills (SWGH) after a person, impersonating a doctor from the Civil Hospital and deceiving people in the lieu of providing various jobs in various PHCs in Garo Hills.
Sangma revealed that following the FIR, they also found out that the so-called doctor, identified as one Hirak Sangma, is not a medical practitioner but also had no affiliation at all with the Ampati Civil Hospital.
“Our inquiry further revealed that this individual has been engaging in fraudulent activities for a considerable time, exploiting vulnerable individuals and causing harm to the community. It is imperative that we create awareness about this issue and take immediate action to bring the perpetrator to justice,” felt Greneth.
He felt the incident highlighted the urgent need to eradicate corruption while adding that it was unacceptable that individuals like the accused can exploit and deceive people with impunity.
“We demand that the authorities take swift and decisive action to book the accused under the relevant sections of the law and affect an immediate arrest. We demand that the authorities take immediate action against the fake doctor for impersonating a doctor, deceiving innocent individuals and putting their lives at risk,” he added.
