Shillong: The Annual Athletic Sports Meet of St Mary’s School, Laitumkhrah, Shillong will be held on Friday, April 12 from 9:30am to 2:00pm at the Don Bosco Mini Stadium, Laitumkhrah, here.
As the school is celebrating its centenary year, this edition of the sports meet is a special event for the school with preparations in the final stages.
One of the highlights of the meet is the inter-school 100m race, the 200m race and the 4 x 100m relay race for boys and girls and the 4 x 100m relay race for lower primary schools.
There will also be events for past pupils and teachers.
In all, 15 schools will be participating in the inter-school events.
The special attractions of the Annual Athletic Sports Meet include drill displays by the students of the Montessori School, Lower Primary School, Upper Primary Section, Secondary and Higher Secondary Sections.
In a press release, the principal of the school, Rev Sister Amabel Lyngdoh, said that the St Mary’s is extending an open invitation to all its past pupils, parents and guardians to attend the event.
