SHILLONG: There seems to be no end to duping cases involving girls from the city.
After being cheated by Facebook friends on numerous occasions, a girl from Shillong has now been looted by a WhatsApp friend.
Police said that the girl befriended one Sumit Kumar Sukhla through WhatsApp, a cross-platform mobile messaging application.
On December 21, Sukhla came to meet the victim n the city only to flee away with her gold necklace.
A complaint in this regard was lodged at the Laitumkhrah police station.
