SHILLONG: Despite the demonetisation effect, the State government will release advance salary for December to its employees before Christmas.
An official with the Finance Department said on Thursday the advance salary will be released by Dec 21 or 22. Earlier, there was apprehension about the release of the amount due to demonetisation, which prompted the Chief Secretary to hold meetings with RBI and SBI officials on the matters related to cash flow.
“There is no difficulty in releasing advance salary as there is adequate money with the government,” the official added.
