SHILLONG: The co-ordination committee of Central Government Employees and Workers in a meeting held on Wednesday assured support for various agitation programmes called by the Confederation at the Centre and urged the Union Government to settle the long pending demands of the central government employees immediately.

The meeting said it could not observe the two-day programme of human chain and mass dharna due to continuous incessant rain in and around Shillong.
