M’laya drub Mizoram in Vijay Hazare

GUWAHATI: Meghalaya registered a convincing eight-wicket win against Mizoram in the Vijay Hazare Trophy at Nadiad on the outskirts of Ahmedabad on Thursday.
In their first match after being granted full member and Ranji status, Meghalaya restricted Mizoram to 154 in 43 overs. Raj Biswa, Abhay Negi and Amiangshu Sen took two wickets each.
In reply, Meghalaya lost just two wickets to achieve the target in 27.3 overs with Punit Bisht unbeaten with a brisk 95 runs while skipperJason Lamare scored an unbeaten 41 runs. Meghalaya will play Nagaland on Friday at the same venue.
