PWD officers survey dilapidated village roads at Nongpoh

NONGPOH:  Officers of the state Public Works Department, Nongpoh Division on Wednesday conducted joint inspection of  dillapidated approach roads of three villages falling under Umsning Constituency following request from the legislator of Umsning, Jason Sawkmie Mawlong.

Lansius Syiemlieh, youth leader of Umsning while talking to media persons here informed that the joint inspection was conducted on the dilapidated approach roads of three villages, viz. Jyntru, Saiden and Mawtnum after the leaders of these villages had approached the local legistator for immediate repairing and fresh blacktopping as these villages will be holding church programmes in the next few months to come.

Meanwhile, the Executive Engineer PWD, Nongpoh Division, B Syiem accompanied by the Sub Divisional Officer, D Laso, Junior Engineers, R Warjri and W Kharlor assures the village headmen of these three villages that his office would soon submit an estimate to the concerned authority for approval for commencement of  the repairing work and blacktopping. They urged the village leaders to cooperate with the department in implementing these schemes for the benefit of the local villagers at large.

Others who were also part of the joint inspection were headman of Saiden, EK Lapang, headman of Jyntru, Moses Syngkli, headman of Mawtnum, Nishan Maring and other village leaders
