SHILLONG: Two persons were detained late on Thursday evening for pelting stones at vehicles.
Police said the duo were picked up from Garikhana and taken to Lumdiengjri police station.
Pelting of stones was also reported from Mawlai and sources said there were shreds of glass on the road. After these incidents, police personnel were deployed in different areas and patrolling was stepped up. Fire tenders were also sent to some areas.
