SHILLONG: The Commucratic People’s Party (CPP) has urged the Chief Minister Conrad Sangma for setting up a separate department to look after the problems faced by men.

Convener of CPP, Wansaiñbor A. Lyngwi said the party saw a hopeless and dark future in many aspects for men who faced different kinds of difficulties and disdain.

He argued that such happenings were the obstacles for them and at the same time were the bolts for a trap. He further said men wanted justice but they faced difficulties to approach the government.

Maintaining that setting up a separate department for men could ensure them enjoying an equal right, he said, “Accordingly, the government should have a separate department for them to solve their problems.”
