SHILLONG: The Khun Hynniewtrep National Awakening Movement (KHNAM) president, Pyndap Saibon said the Meghalaya Resident Safety and Security Act should be improved and demanded the implementation of Inner Line Permit (ILP).
In a statement issued here, he said the implementation of ILP has been a long pending one and reiterated that it is a shield to protect the minority community.
“Till today, the party is firm on its demand for ILP. It will ensure that we know who enters and who leaves the state,” he said.
Saibon said Chief Minister Conrad Sangma is giving personal views without consulting other organisations. He criticised him for listening to the suggestions of BJP and the RSS to increase vote bank politics.
