CoMSO to observe Black Flag Day demanding ILP

SHILLONG: Protesting the delay in the implementation of Inner Line Permit (ILP), pressure groups under the Confederation of Meghalaya Social Organizations (CoMSO) will observe Black Flag Day on Tuesday in all district headquarters.

In a statement issued here, the president of Hynniewtrep Youth Council (HYC) which is affiliated to CoMSO, Robert Kharjahrin said the protest would start from Motphran at 10 am here in Shillong.

The members of the organisation will pin black ribbons on the public, display black flags on cars, carry flex in which demand for ILP will be written.

CoMSO has urged the public to allow the members of the organisation to pin black ribbons on them and put up black flags on their vehicles.

Post the observation of Black Flag Day, the organisations will initiate a series of agitations. The organisation maintained that they would continue with the agitation until the government implements ILP.
