Ambassa: A scorching heat wave has been virtually blazing several districts of Tripura with overcast of clouds intensifying humidity with least possibility of heavy shower.
This year the rainfall is in sharp deficit in comparison with last year’s heavy downpour.
The cyclonic storm Fani has also provided little relief and from then on the sun has been breathing down hard.
Adding to it, the serious lack of potable water and consumption of impure water have resulted into spread into water borne diseases in hilly hamlets.
The agrarian activities has also suffered due to the lack of irrigation facilities in large portion of farmlands and the administration has not yet been able to attentive fully on those issues and to resolve due to the in force Model Code of Conduct (MCC).
The weather forecast fails to speculate any hope of heavy shower shortly and people are just about keeping their hopes together for soothing shower at the earliest. (UNI)
