Coach training prog begins

SHILLONG: Training Programme for aspiring Coaches of Meghalaya commenced last week. The first Phase of the coach education program was undertaken by Mr. Jose C. R. Heiva, Spanish UEFA Pro Coach last week in Polo Grounds. 24 Coaches from East Khasi Hills were selected for the 1st batch. The first batch will now undergo a Phase 2 program which is a 4 days AIFF Grassroots Leadership Course with a certified AIFF instructor. After successfully completing these training Phases, the coaches will move on to the next phase, which is an AIFF D License Certification Course taken by a Certified AIFF Instructor. The Club will conduct this D License program for 11 more batches in different districts of Meghalaya, namely Jaintia Hills, Garo Hills, West Khasi Hills & Ri Bhoi. The program is free of cost and the coaches are not charged any fee for the training program. Interested Coaches from Meghalaya are invited to apply for the program.
