HC judges visit airport, inspect facilities

SHILLONG: Chief Justice of Meghalaya High Court Ajay Kumar Mittal and Justice Hamarsan Sing Thangkhiew on Monday visited the Umroi airport and got a first-hand view. Amicus Curiae P Yobin as well as the respective counsels of various parties in the case were part of the visit to the airport. Ajay Kumar Mittal later said that they have seen the difficulties and the matter has been discussed with the authorities. “We will accordingly pass the orders on Monday (June 24),” he said.
