SHILLONG: Tourism Minister Metbah Lyngdoh, who is the MDA nominee for the post of Assembly Speaker, will resign on Monday.
A source said on Friday that the election of the Speaker is scheduled to be held on September 13, the last day of the Assembly session.
The filing of nomination to contest the post will start from September 10, the source added.
Winnerson Sangma is the Congress candidate.
