Hostels of GU, Cotton University made quarantine centres

GUWAHATI: In view of  rising number of people coming to the state from outside, Assam government has decided to  take possession of hostels in Gauhati University and Cotton University besides  two private schools in Guwahati  to set up quarantine centres.

In a notification issued the State government has conveyed its decision to requisition all boys’ hostels in Gauhati University except two and all Boys’ and Girls’ hostels on Cotton University with immediate effect to set up quarantine facilities for passengers coming to the state from outside.

Moreover, two private schools in the city, Pragjyotish Senior Secondary School, West Boragaon and St Francis  D’ Assist High School, Pub Boragaon have been requisitioned to set up quarantine centres.
