State Govt to outsource Grade-IV employees

Shillong: The State Government has decided to outsource the service of Grade-IV staff in the State Secretariat, official sources said on Monday.

”Our intention to outsource the appointment of Grade-IV staff, is to ensure better work culture and to put in place better delivery mechanism,” a government official said on condition of anonymity.

He said the government through the Secretariat Administration Department (SAD) has already floated tenders inviting registered service providers for the appointment of Grave-IV staff on contractual basis in the Secretariat.

Registered service providers interested in the bidding process should produce their registration number issued by the competent authorities, address of their office, tax clearance certificate, registration certificate issued by the regional provident commissioner office, experience certificate besides other matters in support of the offer.

The official also informed that the total salary would be Rs 3947 and the salary break up of the outsource staff would include wages of Rs 3000, EPF Rs 538, ESI 136 and outsourcing charges Rs 300.

The last date to submit the tender papers is on May 31 up to 2 pm and the same will be opened on the same date at 2:30 pm in the presence of interested questioners or their representatives, the official said. (UNI)
