Sachin lauds KKR; warns team against complacency

Kolkata: After the nail-biting victory over Kolkata Knight Riders at the Eden Gardens here, Mumbai Indians skipper Sachin Tendulkar praised the efforts of the home team and warned his team against complacency.

The little master asked his teammates not to take KKR lightly and be prepared for a tough battle in the playoff match between the two sides in Mumbai.

“Knowing KKR, they will come back hard; they are a good side and we are prepared for them,” Sachin said in the post-match conference.

Requiring 21 runs off the last over, James Franklin and young keeper-batsman Ambati Rayudu kept their cool and thrashed Balaji all around the park to take their team home comfortably yesterday.

“It was a great match. The crowd here is great and they made the atmosphere special and that is why the result. We batted really well. Kept up the run-rate that was needed. Great work by Rayudu and Franklin,” he said.

Talking about the unexpected win, the little master said, “Anything is possible in this game. If you have the luck, the edges go to the boundary. Franklin hit some good shots in the final over.”(UNI)
