Conference

Synod College Shillong is holding a national conference on “Role of media in a democracy,” at the Dinam Hall, Synod College at 10 am on Thursday and Friday.

Environment Day

The NSS Unit of SOS along with the children and youth of SOS Children’s village observed World Environment Day in the presence of the village director and officials from the Botanical Survey of India, Eastern regional centre, Shillong.

Condemnation

The Hynniewtrep National People Federation (HNPF) has condemned the Government for its failure to tackle militancy in Garo Hills. It has raised many questions to highlight the inefficiency of the Government and has voiced their disappointment.

Golden jubilee

Madan Sports and Cultural Club will host the opening ceremony for its golden jubilee celebration at the Madan Sports and Cultural Club Play Ground on Saturday at 3:30 pm with Vincent Pala, Union Minister of State and Water Resources as its chief guest.

Felicitation

The Pay For Right Youth And Cultural Club Malki will felicitate the students of Malki who got 1st Division in SSLC/HSSLC/ICSE/CBSE in 2010-2011 and also the retired teachers on July 2. The Club has decided to give cash awards to all the students and retired teachers along with mementos .The club has request all the students who got 1st Division to submit the Marksheet on or before June 18 at Kong Thiang’s Mawroh House from 6 pm onwards.

Missing

Lienkholal Haokip, an inmate of Asha Bhawan Shillong Drug Rehabilitation Centre, has been missing since May 19.
