Hallabol Club win cricket title

SHILLONG: Hallabol Club lifted the Muslim League Cricket Championship trophy by defeating the Royal Star Club at the Laban Sports Club here on Thursday.

After winning the toss, Royal Star invited the Hallabol to bat first and they scored 99 runs in the allotted 16 overs. Md Shahid top scored with 41 (not out) which included six sixes.

In reply, the Royal star Club were bundled our for 50 in the 13th over. Md Shahid was declared man-of-the-match.

The wining team was given Rs 2000 besides a trophy while the runner-up team pocketed Rs 1000 as a cash prize and the runners-up trophy.
