SHILLONG: The new PHE Minister Shitlang Pale on Friday assured a delegation of the JHADC MDCs led by former CEM Hambertus Nongtdu to take up the issue of lifting of Administrative Rule (AR) in the JHADC with the Chief Minister.

“We were assured by Pale that he would take up the issue with the Chief Minister within a week’s time,” Hambertus told reporters later.

“At the moment 18 MDCs are projecting me as the new leader ,” Nongtdu said adding that the group led by Lamdibok Sumer has the support of only 11 MDCs. The former JHADC CEM said he had respected the instruction of the MPCC asking him to step down as the CEM. “I am hopeful that the MPCC would soon ask him to lead the JHADC again,” Nongtdu added.
