Rockathon 2011
The Sohkha Shnong Music Club will organise the ‘Open Air Beat Contest’ popularly known as the “Rockathon 2011” (Battle of the Bands) at Amshipai Play Ground, Amlarem in November. The winner will awarded with a cash prize of Rs 1 lakh.
New office bearers
The Dorbar Shnong, Lower Lumparing in its meeting held recently elected its new executive committee with Ferdinando Blu Kongsit as headman, Roston Shabong as asstt headman, Mickey Shabong as general secretary, Paulus Marwein as asstt general secretary, Bless Diengdoh as treasurer and Obren Shanpru as the chief adviser and others.
Environment Day
Sankerdev College’s Botany Department celebrated World Environment Day on the college premises recently. As part of the programme a drawing and painting competition were also conducted.
