Los Angeles: Pop diva and actress Jennifer Lopez is in talks for an action and a comedy film after her appearance in the last season of reality show American Idol.
Lopez, 41, is set to co-star with Jason Statham in action film Parker and will be a part of the comedy What to Expect When You’re Expecting, reported Variety online.
In Taylor Hackford’s Parker, Lopez will play an ex-cheerleader turned real estate agent who teams up with a thief, played by Statham, to pull of a daring heist.
In Kirk Jones’ Expecting, Lopez will play an interior designer who’s unable to get pregnant and decides to adopt an Ethiopian child with her husband, who’s not yet been cast.
Her return to the hit singing reality show is still unclear but her both the films are scheduled to be shot during the gap between seasons of the show.
Lopez’s latest film, The Back-Up Plan, premiered in April 2010 and was a disappointment at the box office, grossing less than USD 40 million but she is yet to sign a film that has reached USD 100 million benchmark in US. (PTI)
